Allison wins over the board

My CEO client (Allison) was concerned about her relationship with the board. She was only recently appointed as the CEO and was very concerned they viewed her as only a temporary CEO. No one said this to her, but her greatest fear was that they would replace her.

Together, Allison and I focused on understanding the people on the board. What were their strengths and weaknesses? What were their (often hidden) agendas? How aligned were they with Allison? What were their motivations? Where could they add the most value? Where did they pose a threat to her?

Based on creating a much deeper understanding of each individual, we created a plan. That plan gave Allison the confidence to take control of the board dynamics, and helped her earn the respect and support of the full board.
