Mary takes a vacation

My CEO client (Mary) felt she could never take a vacation. Her company was growing rapidly. She was making good money. You would think this is a great time to go on a vacation. But for five years, she felt she couldn’t leave the helm of the company. Mary felt enormous self-created pressure to stay plugged in every day, including weekends.

I helped her see the cost of working this way. She wasn’t examining the physical and psychological toll on herself and the people most important to her. She didn’t see that this would not end well if she didn’t take care of herself and the people in her life.

By letting go, Mary gained in many other areas of her life. This letting go, has helped her to continue on her growth path, and keep her happy while doing it.
