We can always benefit from some good thoughts. I’m sharing some with you, and hope you find them helpful.

Here’s a summary of some powerful sources of information you may find beneficial.
VIVID VISION: A Remarkable Tool for Aligning YoQ2Qur Business Around a Shared Vision of the Future by Cameron Herold – (book)
When I work with my CEOs around gaining alignment on their leadership team, I often recommend this book as a place to start. Employees will align behind a compelling vision and work hard to fulfill that vision, if they can visualize that exciting future.
With direction from this book, you will paint a picture of the future with such clarity that people will want to follow you. Vivid Vision is an important step in improving the overall performance of your team.
PEAK MIND: Find your focus, own your attention, invest 12 minutes a day by Amishi Jha (book)
I am thoroughly convinced that if you are feeling anxiety, or if you know you are not performing at your best, meditation can help. I have meditated for many years and it has had a transformative impact on how I feel and how I perform.
When I talk to my CEOs about the value of meditation, they often resist due to the perceived time investment. While longer can be better for some people, this book highlights how to get significant value out of meditating only 12 minutes per day.
BEHAVE: The Biology of Humans at Our Best and Worst by Robert Sapolsky (book)
One of the best aspects of reading this Stanford Professor’s material is that he is highly entertaining. Along with being entertaining, he takes very complex topics and simplifies them for the audience.
For example, you may not want to be biased against people who are not like you, but you can’t help it. Your biology is such that your very survival was once dependent upon this bias, and that hasn’t gone away. Knowing this now enables you to act differently – to act in a way you’d prefer – rather than in the way you are wired to do so.
